We couldn't have cats when I was a kid. Too many kids, too little space. I voted for throwing some of my brothers out and take in a cat instead, but being the second youngest I didn't stand a chance. My cat time was when I was at the farm of my godmother's parents.
Then we didn't have the right space. And then the "foreign exchange kitty" from the US moved in with us and we were goners.
