Now, this is new. I have been through books and other people's work on wire crochet so many times, and not a single one of them reflects this kind of crocheting. This is neat, precise, and the idea of putting a faceted quartz in the middle of it is just extraordinary. I was hoping that I would get some point of reference in doing wire crochet - I wanted it to be neat but apparently all the people that I met needs it to be chaotic. And now I found this work. Now I believe that someone out there can do it neat! Wonderful! Superb!
Thank you! To be honest I struggle with the "messy" style, I just can't do it!!
I recognised immediately that it must have been crochetted,I have tryed that and I know how difficult it is to keep the wire not to much banded to look strate and estetic...
It's a matter of practice of course, but I think it helps to have a bit of a knack for it, too ... and fun doing it!!
Its very lovely. I really like the coloring you went with.
On a side note the Carnelian ring you used is called a Pi Stone.
Thank you, also for the extra information. I'll have to have a closer look at that
I love the wire work
That really cool! I do something similar but with Trichinopoly and cabs.
Thank you! I only just started doing Viking knit and made a "cage" for a glass pearl, but there's no picture of that yet
Oh, fun. Is it a loss cage or tight like this?
It's a tight one. I did one in wire knit like this one and another one in Viking knit. Just experimenting. I have to admit I don't have nearly as much patience for Viking knit as I have for crocheting or knitting with the crochet hook at the moment!
Awesome.. I like how you've combined the ring and bead, have never seen it before And your crotcheting is so neat
Thank you, hun Don't tell on me, but I had this ring left over from years ago and it fell into my hands again today, and I had this bead left over (actually I found a second one afterwards, but that will end up in a totally different piece) and was determined to find a way to put them together
