Crocheter's basket by CatsWire Crocheter's basket by CatsWire
This little basket crocheted from fine silver wire and filled with colored copper wire "yarn" balls and a "crochet hook" was made as a custom order.
I can also make these completely from copper wires and you can choose between a crochet hook or knitting needles.

Thank you! It IS shiny, and depending on the colors I use for the "yarn", that comes out even more

Super impressive! It must have taken you some time to make this. How long did it take, if I may ask? :aww:

Thank you, also for the fave and watch! :) This takes me about 2 to 2.5 hours (if I make the basket from copper wire, it's faster than with the fine silver because of the different gauge). The hardest part is actually to make the yarn balls and fix them, so they'll stay put for sure

You're very welcome! Well it definitely looks nice in a silver color so it's worth the extra time! It's super adorable.

I can use silver colored copper wire, but of course the fine silver still looks nicer. If I'm determined, time is not my first priority anyway :D

Ohh I see. Yes, real silver is always 10x better looking! I've tried using wire other than sterling silver and it makes a huge difference in quality!

It depends on the design. Sometimes I'm quite happy with the copper wires, but for this kind of pendant I prefer fine silver because I feel it adds that certain extra ^^

This is just...wow. <3
Would you consider making another one with both a crochet hook and a pair of knitting needles?

Thank you, it's one of the designs I'm really proud of :D They never come out the same, depending on size and the colors I use. This was the first one with a crochet hook, the others before that all had "knitting needles"
I'm happy I could make you laugh!

This is really cute. I've never tried crocheting with anything but thread and yarn so I commend you for using wire and the fact you did something so small is amazing.

Thank you for the comment and fave. It might sound silly, but I suck at crocheting with yarn, so I was happy to find the wire instead! :D

It doesn't sound silly at all. With all the different materials to crochet with, it's good that you found one you're comfortable with.
